ETREECELL

Turn brainstorming into a living presentation.

A web-based visual tool that treats mind-map nodes like spreadsheet cells — compute their relations, then present them with zoom. Built on cross-vector-graphics, it runs Flash-free from IE6 to modern browsers.

Overview

ETREECELL is a web-based tool for everyone, spanning from math and mind-maps all the way to presentations. By fusing cross-vector-graphics with cross-browser technology, it runs without any plugin like Adobe Flash. Mind-map nodes built from vector graphics are used as spreadsheet-like 'cells' that enable relational computation — and zoom-based presentation brings the ideas to life.

One canvas where mind-maps, spreadsheets, and presentations meet — running cross-browser on jQuery and Raphael.js, no Flash.
Inside the editor, cells hold values and functions — Sum, Count, If, Max, Min — computing results just like a spreadsheet.
Zoom in on a single cell to present — simply to free the cells from the spreadsheet.

What if a spreadsheet cell could hold any idea?

ETREECELL began with that single question.

Features

01

Cells for thought

Mind-map nodes work like spreadsheet cells. Image, chart, and function cells each carry their own value, ready to compute.

02

Connect to compute

Drag a link between cells and ETREECELL resolves the relation — turning a diagram into a live calculation.

03

Zoom presentation

Close up any cell and move through ideas with zoom in and out — driven by the UI or a simple script (zoom, show, speed).

04

Remote control

A companion mobile web page (Member · Guest · Help · Option) lets you drive the presentation remotely from your phone.

05

Flash-free & cross-browser

Built on Raphael.js and jQuery, it renders vector graphics from IE6 to Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera — with no plugins.

06

SDK & import

Custom cells through an SDK, form import for repeated structures, and built-in access statistics extend it further.

Interface

One canvas on the desktop, a remote in your pocket.

ET News (전자신문) Software That Lit Up 2013 · Prime Minister's Award, Korea Software Awards

SSHDB and ETREECELL, both by Seo Seunghyun, won the Prime Minister's Award at the Korea Software Awards.

ETREECELL is a web-based application for everyone, reaching broadly from math to mind-maps to presentations, and supported across most browsers including IE6.

By fusing cross-vector-graphics with cross-browser technology, it runs without a separate plugin like Adobe Flash. Vector mind-map nodes are used like spreadsheet 'cells' for relational computation, with zoom-in/out presentation and a mobile web page for remote control.

ETREECELL grew from a single question — could anyone shape ideas as freely as a spreadsheet cell? It still points toward a future where thinking becomes something we can show.
